Vintage Computing Festival Berlin (VCFB)

October 17th and 18th, 2026

The Vintage Computing Festival Berlin (VCFB) is an event about historic computers and computing technology. In exhibitions, presentations and workshops, participants from all over Germany and beyond present many different aspects of Vintage Computing. In addition to retro computers, also historical operating systems, programming languages, network technology as well as pocket and mechanic calculators will be shown. Most of the exhibited devices are in working condition. Since 2014, the donation-financed VCFB has been organised annually by volunteers, backed by the non-profit association VCFB e.V.

The VCFB will take place on the Wilhelminenhof campus of the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW Berlin). Exhibition build-up begins on Friday, October 16th, and the event is open for visitors on Saturday and Sunday, October 17th and 18th.

Getting there

By public transport: You can reach the Wilhelminenhof campus in just half an hour from Alexanderplatz station, with one change either by taking the S9 and tram line 60 or 67 via Schöneweide station, or by taking the S3 and tram line 27 via Karlshorst station. The tram stop is called Rathenaustraße/HTW. Continue on foot along Wilhelminenhofstraße until you reach gate 5. Turn right into Johannes-Kraatz-Straße, then walk 300m to building G. At Schöneweide station you can also rent bikes from Nextbike, which can be returned directly on campus. Alternatively, the walk from Schöneweide station takes around 25 minutes, in which case we recommend taking the Kaisersteg bridge over the Spree.

By car: For navigation enter Wilhelminenhofstraße 75A as destination. Turn sharp right at the Wilhelminenhofstraße/Ostendstraße bend, drive through gate 7 onto the HTW campus, then continue to the end of Peter-Behrens-Straße. Turn right into Ernst-Ziesel-Straße, to the left you will find a parking area. From there turn left to buildings G and H.

Exhibitors can stop directly in front of building H for loading and unloading.
